A Good Samaritan: Doing Good
You might have heard this saying by Annie Frank that, “No one has ever become poor by giving”. And all you need is a graceful, generous and loving heart. Look across the nations and you will find that the poor and the needy outnumber the rest. The Parable by Jesus itself teaches us that any can be the neighbour by helping the others and one doesn't have to be in the next door for it.
Several streets are still full of children who don’t have a roof over their head, who don’t get meals two times a day, orphans, in slums, and malnutrition in them, living in health hazardous places and conditions, in many African and Asian countries. The UN statistics and charts that come out shows an incline every year in the poverty rates in countries across the globe.
How can one be full of charitable works and good deeds? Well, here is an example: Mother Teresa was a dedicated nun who left her home and country and traveled to India and decided to help the lepers and she started out alone and didn’t waver and went against all odds to stood firm on her decision and God blessed her and she had set up the Lepers Foundation later and the world respects her for who she was. There are so many people like her who her on a selfless mission. Let us join hands with such guys and organizations and make this world a better place for them.
